Row 2: Ch 3, turn. *Dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, skip 1 st.* Repeat across, ending with dc in last 2 sts.

Row 3: Ch 3, turn. Dc in each st and ch-1 sp across. (38 dc)

Rows 4–7: Repeat Rows 2–3.

Fan Stitch Section

Row 8: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first st. *Skip 2 sts, 5 dc in next st (fan made), skip 2 sts, sc in next st.* Repeat * to * across.

Row 9: Ch 3, turn. 2 dc in first sc. *Sc in center dc of fan, 5 dc in next sc.* Repeat * to * across, ending with 3 dc in last sc.

Rows 10–15: Repeat Rows 8–9.

Triangle Taper

Rows 16–28: Continue the fan stitch pattern, decreasing by one fan repeat on each side every 2 rows to create a pointed triangular shape at the bottom.

Fringe

Cut 80 pieces of yarn, each 16″ long. Using groups of 4 strands, attach fringe along the bottom edge and the two tapered sides of the triangle. Fold each group in half, pull the loop through the edge stitch with your hook, and pull the tails through the loop.

Once all fringe is attached, use a wire brush to carefully brush out each strand for a soft, boho feathered look. Trim the fringe into a V-shape or leave it uneven for a more organic feel.

Hanging

Attach the top edge of the panel to the wooden dowel by weaving the dowel through the stitches of Row 1, or by sewing the top edge over the dowel with a whip stitch. Tie a 24″ piece of yarn to each end of the dowel for hanging.

Tips

Use 100% cotton yarn for the best drape and fringe brushing results. Block the main panel before adding fringe for a more polished look. Experiment with adding wooden beads to the fringe for extra texture!
